Responsibilities:
- As a Senior Interior Designer focused on Commercial Interior Design Projects at Keith Ho Design, you will play a pivotal role in leading our design team towards excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Project Leadership:
- Take ownership of commercial interior design projects from concept development to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and design standards.
- Provide creative direction and guidance to the design team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
- Design Development:
- Lead the development of concept designs, space planning, and schematic layouts for commercial spaces, integrating functionality, aesthetics, and brand identity.
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
- Client Collaboration:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision, requirements, and objectives for each project.
- Present design concepts and proposals to clients effectively, incorporating feedback and revisions to ensure alignment with their goals and expectations.
- Team Management:
- Mentor and coach junior designers, providing guidance on design principles, techniques, and project management best practices.
- Set clear roles, responsibilities, and project milestones for team members, ensuring efficient workflow and project delivery.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):
- Develop and implement standardized procedures and workflows for the design team, optimizing efficiency and consistency across projects.
- Continuously evaluate and refine SOPs to improve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular reviews and critiques of design work to maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial interior design, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and FF&E selection.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional design solutions.
